So Many Sights and Views that You Just Can’t See On a Cruise Tour!
We spent an absolutely glorious day with John when our cruise ship, the Oceania Marina, docked at Holyhead in Wales. Starting with the magnificent and so well-preserved town of Conwy, and ending with the village with the longest name in the world, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, the hours flew by and the magnificent photos kept adding up.
John is an expert at finding just the perfect spot to get the very best view, whether it be the castle, the Swallow Waterfall, the tallest mountain (Snowdon), sheep in the meadow, feral mountain goats at the slate quarry, the ultra quaint town of Betws-y-Coed, or a gorgeous valley with 50 shades of green.
He is so organized and plans your time to perfection, with interesting anecdotes, historical references, and local lore.
His enthusiasm stems from his upbringing in the region with deep-seated passion for all things Welsh, including the complex language and rivalries.
There can be no substitute, as he is unique in this area and must be booked way in advance as we did.
No cruise or bus tour could ever approach the kind of experience derived from John and Boutique Tours, with the only regret being that it was only for a single perfect day.
