We wanted to take this opportunity to share some basic travel tips on what precautions you can take to make sure you keep yourself safe and clean as possible during your travels.
Have essential toiletries to hand: Carry an essential travel pack around with you for emergency situations. These packs should consist of hand sanitiser, tissues, soap, disposable gloves, anti viral spray, and wipes. This means you will always be prepared!
Regularly wash your hands with either soap and water or sanitiser: It is important to wash and sanitise your hands as often as you can during the touring day. As hard as we may try to limit the amount of times we touch our face.
Use your OWN travel mug and water bottle: When travelling, we all need to stay hydrated! Make sure you to have control over what you are drinking out of. Make sure that these items are cleaned thoroughly each day. This will assist in reducing the risk of drinking out of tins and bottles and will help you to prevent any possible cross contamination and further risk to the spread of the infection.
Look with your eyes and not your hands! This is an important point to make to all individuals that are out and about in public areas including shops, restaurants, bars, banks, etc. Try to limit what you touch. Instead look with your eyes and task yourself not to touch everything before you place it in your basket. In any case, we would recommend you to wear a pair of disposable gloves and make sure that you change them on a regular basis.
