Itinerary Highlights

Glacial Valley of the Sheep Farms
We tour along a beautiful glacial valley along a trail that once laid down by the Romans. There are several stops for photographs and even a chance to take a short walk amongst the most magnificent scenery of the Snowdonia National Park.

The Ugly House
A unique building with a very interesting folk legend and an ideal place to stop for tea/coffee and some delicious home baked scones!

Swallow Falls
Enjoy one of the most scenic and stunning waterfalls in Wales.

Betws-y-Coed
A lovely Victorian Spa town where you can discover a medieval church hidden in the woods, nestling beside a scenic river.

Dolwyddelan Castle
A scenic photo stop at the ancestral home to the last true Prince of Wales – Llewellyn the Great.

Blaenau Ffestiniog
Formerly the slate capital of Wales, famous as being the town that roofed the world. You’ll witness the small terrace homes of the close-knit Welsh community.

The Ffestiniog Railway
Take a ride on one of the ‘Great Little Steam Trains of Wales’ operated by the oldest railway company in the world! *Train ticket Payable

Beddgelert
Rated as the most scenic village in the Snowdonia, where there is a beautiful riverside walk to enjoy and you can learn about the local legend of the village’s famous dog. You might like to consider stopping by one of the tea rooms/cafes or pubs for refreshments and a light bite to eat.

The most scenic road in Wales
Our tour takes us along one of the most scenic roads in Wales, where we pass lakes and small streams and we stop for some great photos of this area of Snowdonia.

Mount Snowdon
We stop on an elevated platform to view the highest Mountain in England and Wales at 3, 560 feet above sea level. The landscape of mountain and glacial valleys is a photographer’s paradise.

The Slate Museum
Enjoy a fascinating insight into the industrial world of slate production and witness a live Slate splitting demonstration and visit the ‘hidden quarry’ and lagoon.

Dolbadarn Castle
A castle ruin of the Welsh Princes located in a stunning scenic setting between two lakes and our ‘hidden gem’ a scenic lagoon at the local abandoned quarry.

The Secret View
Our last stop of the tour is at a beautiful lakeside setting. We call it the secret view as its out of sight to everyone passing along the two main roads nearby, yet we open up an amazing vista of a glacial lake and the Snowdonia Mountains.

This tour can be custom designed to include:

Snowdon Mountain Railway: Take the easy way up to the summit. On a beautiful day, this has to be one of the most spectacular railway journeys in the world! You will need to allow 3 hours of your touring day to include this railway option. The trains journey is an hour each way, with 30 minutes at the summit and offers you a spectacular 360-degree panorama of the beautiful National Park.

Book your train reservation by visiting: snowdon.vticket.co.uk

The Snowdonia Discovery tour itinerary featured above  would be amended to accommodate the Snowdon Mountain Railway Train.

The tour itinerary would skip the Ffestiniog Railway, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolwyddelan, the Ugly House, Swallow Falls and Betws-y-Coed.

Please note that certain attractions have restricted operating and opening times. Entrance fees and train tickets are not included in the tour price.
