You can’t miss the Llŷn Peninsula on the map – it’s that crooked finger of land that extends 30 miles out into the Irish Sea and features some of the most dramatic coastal settings in Britain.
The Llŷn Peninsula is one of the five designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wales! It features a mix of history, Welsh culture, along with amazing spectacular coastal scenery.
Our tour features a drive along the many small country roads around the edge of the Llŷn Peninsula.
This is where you get to discover the wild stretches of coastline with spectacular landscapes, dramatic sea cliffs, coves, headlands, beaches, churches, forts, castles and picturesque Welsh villages.
Highlights of the touring day include discovering a ‘hidden village’, along with a visit to one of the ‘Top 10 rated Beach Bars in the world’ and there’s even time to enjoy a short beautiful coastal walk along the stunning Llŷn Peninsula.

One of the most impressive late-medieval parish churches in North Wales, St Buenos Church was an important stop for pilgrims heading to the island of Bardsey, located at the southern tip of the Llyn Peninsula
One of our great ‘hidden gems’ of Wales, with a dramatic setting in a valley beside the coast, backed by high rise cliffs, you are guaranteed to want to take a photograph! Nant Gwrtheyrn is a remote valley of farms, that suddenly expanded into mining top quality granite stone found in the mountains above the village.
A long sweeping sheltered sandy bay nestling behind the Nefyn headland. This popular north coast seaside village features a beautiful coastal walk to Porthdinllaen and the stunning headland, with a stunning golf course, which is the equivalent in Wales to Pebble Beach in the USA.
Porthdinllaen is accessible only on foot and a much-photographed coastal hamlet with quaint houses with its famous inn on the beach. Here you can enjoy stopping off at ‘one of the best rated pubs in Wales’ and OFFICIALLY featured amongst “the top ten beach bar locations in the world!” PLEASE NOTE: There are restricted opening times for the pub!
Our tour continues along the small back roads of the Llŷn, with stunning coastal and rolling countryside views. We’ll spend time touring the beautiful hedgerows, as we wind our way to the end of the peninsula and the village of Aberdaron.
A small picturesque traditional Welsh fishing village set in a beautiful wide sweeping sandy bay. This fishing village was the last stop for pilgrims on their way to Ynys Enlli, the ‘Isle of 20,000 Saints’, otherwise known as Bardsey Island.
Be prepared to be blown away by the awesome views as we climb to the summit of a stunning coastal mountain. The cliff top location is one of the most dramatic settings on the coastline of Britain, set amongst the sound of silence, along with nature’s chorus of the sea, the birds, the sheep and the wind.
A delightful 17th-century manor house, complete with ornamental gardens. The views from the grounds and gardens look out across Cardigan Bay and are considered among the most spectacular in Britain. PLEASE NOTE: Due to ongoing renovations the house is currently closed. We will post an update once this work is complete and the house reopens fully.
This picturesque village is renowned for its mile-long stretch of sandy beach with its colourful beach huts.
One of the oldest and most picturesque art venues in Wales. A Victorian Gothic styled Mansion built in 1857 with magnificent views across Cardigan Bay and towards the mountains of Snowdonia. The site features a licensed tea room, with local paintings for sale along with a craft shop.
Discover a pretty Welsh village made famous by a local boy who went on to become the first Welsh Prime Minister of Great Britain. We visit the stunning private grave setting and we get to see his boyhood home, the Shoemaker’s Workshop.
Criccieth is one of the greatest testaments to Welsh castle building. Crowning its own rocky headland between two beaches, the castle commands astonishing views across the wide sweep of Cardigan Bay. It makes for a great photo stop and even a short walk along the ocean front promenade across the bay
