Hidden Glacial Valley of Snowdonia
Our tour starts by routing you away from the conventional touring areas and immediately impresses you with a beautiful valley and coastal views from high up the top of a mountain pass.
Caernarfon Castle
A brute of a fortress, Caernarfon Castle’s pumped up appearance is unashamedly muscle-bound and intimidating. King Edward 1st created what is without a doubt one of the most impressive castles in Wales and beyond, and the castle and town walls provided means to keep some communities in and others out.
Welsh Farm
Our refreshment/lunch stop is a place where you can meet the locals and hear the Welsh language be spoken during our visit to a farm location set on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
We recommend trying one of our traditional national dishes – ‘Welsh Rarebit’ or maybe a bowl of ‘Cawl’ or even ‘Lobscouse’. You can also get to sample some Welsh wine.
Snowdonia National Park
The National Park stretches out over 830 square miles and we have selected the very best touring route as we travel through stunning and picturesque glacial landscapes, passing lakes and streams and climb into the elevated regions of Snowdonia.
Beddgelert
One of the prettiest villages in Wales, we set you down for a stunning riverside walk. The village is set amongst some of the most majestic scenery Wales has to offer. Located where two rivers meet, it features a cluster of miner’s stone cottages. Learn about the legend of ‘Great Prince of Wales’ who use to hunt in the area and sample some of the best ice cream in Wales at a local parlour.
The Most Scenic Road in Wales
Our touring route climbs into the Snowdonia mountains and the tour takes in one of its legendary tales told by your local resident guide that captivates you as we drive through some of the most dramatic scenery in Wales. We will make several scenic stops for photographs.
Mount Snowdon
The highest mountain in Wales sits at a commanding 3,560 feet and is surrounded by spectacular landscapes of dramatic glacial valleys with lakes.
Llanberis Slate Quarry
Discover the industrialisation of the region – slate that roofed the houses of the world!
Quarry Walk
We drive out to an elevation on the slate mountain for our second short walk of the day across the second largest slate quarry in Wales. With more than 20 galleries you can experience working life on the side of the mountain, whilst taking in some of the best scenic landscapes of the whole touring day.
Blade of the Giants
Enjoy this stunning lakeside setting with the ‘Sword in the Stone’.
Secret View
One of the best views in the Snowdonia National Park, our secret view is located off the main tourist trails and out of reach to the big tour buses.
Quarryman’s Villages
We tour through hillside villages set amongst the finest scenery.
